The Fine Print
Last updated: June 29, 2026
I believe trust is earned in the small things, not just the big ones — so here's exactly what you can expect from Galaxy & Anchor, in plain language. This page covers two things: how I handle any information you share with me, and the terms that apply if you become a client. If anything here is unclear, just ask — that's what the contact form is for.
On This Page
Galaxy & Anchor is currently operated by me, Kate, as an independent business. I'm not yet a formally registered legal entity (no LLC or corporation at this time), but the same care applies to your information either way. If that changes, this page will be updated to reflect it.
Right now, the only information I collect through this website is what you submit through the contact form: your name, your email address, and whatever message you send. That's it — there are no hidden fields, no data brokers, and no third parties involved in that exchange.
Your contact form submission is used for exactly one purpose: so I can read your message and reply to you. I don't add you to a mailing list, sell your information, or share it with anyone else. If we go on to work together, anything you share as part of that project (like business details, login access, or content for your site) is used solely to do the work you've hired me for.
This site does not currently use cookies, analytics, or tracking tools of any kind — no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, nothing watching you browse. If that ever changes (for example, adding basic analytics to understand site traffic), I'll update this page first so you always know what's actually happening when you visit.
Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to respond to you and, if you become a client, to maintain a record of our working relationship. You're welcome to ask me to delete your information at any time by reaching out through the contact form or by emailing me directly.
Wherever you're located, you have the right to ask what information I have about you, request a copy of it, or ask that it be corrected or deleted. Just email me at hello@galaxyandanchor.com and I'll handle it personally and promptly.
As Galaxy & Anchor grows — whether that's becoming a registered business, adding new tools, or offering new services — this policy will be updated to stay accurate. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
These terms apply if you engage Galaxy & Anchor for web design, branding, or hosting and maintenance services. By hiring me for a project, you're agreeing to the terms below. For larger projects, I may also provide a separate written agreement or proposal outlining specific deliverables, timeline, and scope — where that exists, it works alongside these general terms.
At this time, Galaxy & Anchor accepts payment exclusively through PayPal. This protects both of us: you get PayPal's buyer protections and a clear, traceable payment record, and I get a secure, verifiable way to receive payment for completed work. I'm not able to accept payment through other methods (cash, checks, wire transfers, etc.) at this time.
Specific payment terms — deposits, milestones, final balance due — will be laid out for your project before work begins. Work generally doesn't start (or continue, for ongoing hosting/maintenance) until the agreed payment has been received.
Once a project is paid in full, ownership of the final deliverables (your website files, branding assets, etc.) transfers to you. Until final payment is received, all work product remains the property of Galaxy & Anchor. I retain the right to showcase completed work in my own portfolio unless we've specifically agreed otherwise.
If Galaxy & Anchor hosts your website on its servers, the following terms apply in addition to everything else on this page.
Uptime. I guarantee 99.9% uptime each month. If your site falls below that in a given month, you'll receive a service credit of one free day of hosting for every hour of downtime beyond the guarantee. Scheduled maintenance that I notify you about in advance doesn't count against this guarantee.
Backups. Your site is backed up daily using incremental backups, with the 7 most recent days kept in rotation at all times. If you ever need a restore — whether from something that broke or simply a mistake — just ask, and I'll restore your most recent good backup at no charge.
Late Or Missed Payment. If a hosting payment is missed, your site will continue running for a 7-day grace period while I attempt to reach you. If payment still hasn't been received after those 7 days, your site will be suspended (taken offline) until the balance is paid. A suspended account is held — not deleted — for 30 days, giving you a window to pay and pick back up right where you left off.
Cancellation & Data Deletion. If a hosting account remains suspended for 30 days without payment, or if you cancel hosting services outright, your site files and backups will be permanently deleted after that 30-day window. I'd encourage any hosting client to keep their own copy of anything irreplaceable, just as a precaution.
To keep things safe and reliable for every client on Galaxy & Anchor's servers, hosted sites may not be used to:
Violating any of the above may result in immediate suspension of hosting services, at my discretion, regardless of payment status.
I bring real care and effort to every project, but I can't guarantee specific business outcomes — like a certain amount of traffic, leads, or sales — as a result of the work I do. Website design and hosting are tools to support your business; how they ultimately perform depends on many factors outside my control.
Galaxy & Anchor will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or from services provided, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — except where such liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
You're welcome to browse, read, and share this website. Please don't:
Since Galaxy & Anchor isn't yet formally registered in a specific state, these terms are intended to be interpreted fairly and in good faith under generally applicable principles of contract law. As the business becomes formally established, this section will be updated to specify a governing jurisdiction.
These terms may be updated from time to time as Galaxy & Anchor grows and formalizes. Continued use of this website, or continuing as an active client, means you accept the most current version posted here.
If anything here doesn't make sense, or you just want to talk it through before working together, reach out anytime at hello@galaxyandanchor.com or through the contact form. I'd rather you ask than wonder.
